Beauty has always been my world, and not just any corner of it. As a CIDESCO qualified beauty therapist, I built my career in some of the most prestigious spas on the planet: luxury five-star resorts across Dubai and the Maldives, where I worked my way from therapist to spa manager, leading pre-openings, managing large teams, and running operations at the very highest level of the industry.
I ran operations across 30 beauty salon locations throughout Western Australia, overseeing everything from people and performance to systems and day-to-day management. I know what it takes to run a beauty business. Not from the outside looking in, but from the floor up.
The shift into web development wasn't planned, it grew out of real experience. When I co-founded a B2B and B2C beauty supply business, I found myself managing the e-commerce store and something just clicked. I became fascinated by the power of a great website, how it builds trust, drives sales, and shapes the way people see a brand. So I did what I always do when I'm passionate about something: I went all in. I trained as a full stack web developer and never looked back.
Working with international beauty and salon product brands, I built and managed entire e-commerce operations from the ground up, across two countries, end to end. And through all of it, I kept noticing the same gap: beauty businesses with incredible services and talented teams, let down by websites that didn't reflect any of it. And rarely a developer in sight who actually understood the industry.
